Sanchi Chandna
Lead, India and Armenia Programs New Delhi, India
Sanchi believes that connecting with one’s true self and others unlocks the subtle inner force for meaningful transformation. It is important to her to create authentic, connected, contextualised and systematised learning experiences for children.
Over the last 14 years, she has lived and learnt with diverse communities (nomadic tribes, Tibetan refugees, tea-plantation workers, sex workers, rural and urban labourers, and privileged families.)
Prior to joining Kizazi, she was Team Lead at Rebuild India, a Trust-Based Fund at Dasra; Program Manager for State Programs at Reach to Teach.
She lived at the Gandhi Ashram for over three years where she managed the residential schools for 900+ students. She led Manzil, an after-school learning centre, and was part of the core-team that set up Kat-katha, the first schools in brothels of New Delhi.
Sanchi holds degrees in Economics from Delhi University, Education from MDU, and a Masters in Elementary Education from TISS, Mumbai and is a state qualified lecturer (UGC-NET) in Education. Currently, she is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Presence-Oriented Psychotherapy, helping her see the connection between personal life stories and systemic change.
She brings with her an intuitive sense of the relational-field, people skills, operational acumen, and curriculum design & facilitation expertise.
